Machine Learning is an application of Artificial Intelligence that provides systems with the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. It focuses on the development of computer programs that can access data and use it to learn from it. There are several types of ML, e.g. supervised ML, where the algoritm learns patterns from labelled data and applies these patterns to categorise new data, or unsupervised learning, which does not use labelled data and tries to infer a function to describe the structure from the data.
