This was a very special occasion for a group of HiDALGO researchers in February 2022. Special, since they presented their findings in a real face-to-face lecture at the city library in Stuttgart, south of Germany. The event focussed on public. In order to meet Corona-Restrictions, the hosts live-streamed the event via Youtube to enable more persons to participate.

2022 is here and with it so is our latest Newsletter. Check it out to see what we are doing to build up our internal community and what HiDALGO events have been going on!

Rolf Rabenseifner at HLRS developed a comprehensive MPI-3.1/4.0 course with slides and a large set of exercises including solutions. The slides and exercises show the C, Fortran and, since summer 2021, also the Python (mpi4py) interfaces. HiDALGO provided the first input and an initial contribution to such a Python project, which has found already an extremely positive resonance.

Due to Covid19 related safety measures, our General Assembly is being held
online. From November 30 to December 2 the consortium is discussing the most recent
advancements of the project in a number of teleconferences.

The details can be found in the file below.

The program will run from November 16 until November 18, 2021 at a joint virtual booth. HLRS will give talks on Tuesday, 16th Nov andThursday, 18th, and HiDALGO researchers on Wed, Nov 17.

The HiDALGO project gave a talk at the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2021 (EUSEW https://eusew.eu/) on "HPC and Big Data as key enablers of the Clean Energy Transition".

EUSEW'21 is organized by EoCoE, MaX, HiDALGO, HVL, and FocusCoE.

The HiDALGO Plenary Meeting happened from 31st May until 2nd June. All project partners were present not only sharing ideas and knowledge, but also discussing about different topics. We opened with a talk about the general status of the project (including administrative aspects, like the project extension) and then we entered in the technical discussions.
