ESiWACE - for future exascale weather and climate simulations
The Centre of Excellence in Simulation of Weather and Climate in Europe (ESiWACE) enables global storm- and eddy resolving weather and climate simulations on the upcoming (pre-)Exascale supercomputers. Explicitly resolving small scale features, like clouds and storms, will vastly improve our ability to predict weather patterns in a changing climate.
ESiWACE and HiDALGO will exchange information on relevant events and where appropriate attend, contribute to or co-organize events of common interest. ESiWACE will support use cases from the domain climate and weather simulation which are of relevance to HiDALGO. This will mainly be channeled through our common partner ECMWF.
